The Kick-off Meeting, held from 18th to 20th March in Gothenburg, Sweden, brought together representatives of the participating organizations to define the methodological and implementation framework for project management and discuss the duties and responsibilities of each member of the consortium in accordance with their respective capacities. After the introductions and presentations, the meeting was divided into two parts to address all relevant issues related to project execution and activities. The first part focused on developing a project management strategy, which included going over the scope, time, cost, communication, and risk management in detail. The second part of the meeting discussed the training methodologies for young people that had been previously used by other organizations, approaches for encouraging and increasing young people’s participation in waste management in their local communities, the structure of the project website, and the project charter. In conclusion, the meeting was very useful as it resulted in the development of a management strategy, training methodologies, a draft structure for the project website, a project charter, and the signing of partnership agreements.
